Can a deficit of C02 lead to excessive H2O loss in urine?
Chinese medicine suggests that there are conditions where the cells cannot hold on to water. I am trying to understand this from a western point of view and have read that a decficit of CO2 can adversely affect kidney function/metabolism. I drink a lot of water, but still feel dehydrated. No diabetes or anything like that.

- CO2 is a natural by product of your body - it isn't something that you would ever have a "deficit" of. The general recommendation for water intake is to multiply your body weight in pounds by .55 to get the number of ounces. So if you weight 100 lbs then you should drink 55 ounces of water a day. You might moderate your sodium and other electrolites to see if that effects your feelings of dehydration.
