Teat and Medication?
My dad swears by not drinking tea at LEAST 30 mins prior and 30 mins after taking medication. He says that tea is absorbent and the liquids would absorb the active ingredients out of the medicine and be useless. Is this true in any way/shape/form? --He takes pills for diabetes, I take birth control pills. Does tea affect these or any other medicines in any way? --I usually drink Chinese green tea (Jasmine)

- All my doctors and pharmacists have said never to drink was grapefruit juice. It will make you very sick. I accidentally did it once, and now they put it on most label's. But 100% of any Doctor or nurse will say take your medications with water. Food causes the absorption rate to be slower and maybe less effective. As long as it isn't grapefruit juice, I think you'll be fine, or pharmacists would tell us. Good luck.
- Surely you have something better to worry about! Enjoy your tea.
