How do you return a person for burial in the U.S. if they pass away in a foreign country?

My Dad has chosen to seek traditional chinese medicine in Taiwan as treatment for his cancer. I am going to Taiwan to help support him for however long and I feel that I need to do as much research as possible in case of worst case senario. Especially in a foreign country.

1. A couple of years ago, I had a friend pass away in Costa Rica and he wanted to be buried here in the US. I found out that the local mortuary could handle everything. Contact your local and they can guide you through this process. I hope it doesn't come to the worst, but I admire your strength in this situation.
